Meet the team

Our on-the-ground team are experts in building design and construction. Together, we have over 100 years of combined experience in timber construction.

Business Development Manager

Adam grew up around construction sites, continuing in the industry with roles managing building supplies stores where he built his knowledge and expertise around supply chain and the requirements of builders and construction companies.

Adam has now been designing, quantifying and project managing sustainable timber buildings for more than 15 years, delivering builds on budget, and on time.

Site Manager

With 20 years’ experience in construction manufacturing, Lee has consistently driven projects to success with his uncompromising focus on design and manufacturing efficiency.

This dedication to excellence has positioned him as a leader in the industry. Lee is committed to innovation and efficiency in design and manufacturing processes, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal in every project he is involved with.

Director

With 40+ years involvement in the timber, construction and building supplies industries, Paul has a wealth of knowledge and experience. His steely focus on building sustainable partnerships has seen him successfully negotiate supply agreements with some of NZ’s largest companies. 

Paul is part of the senior leadership team at TUMU Group, including advisory boards and the property delivery management team.

Director

James has successfully managed the TUMU Timbers manufacturing and timber processing business for 15 years and more recently TUMU Transport, which was established in 2019. 

In 2020 James became a director of Kiwi Lumber, a successful sawmilling company with four mills in the North Island. He is also a founding director of Mates4 Life, a not-for-profit suicide prevention programme, and the Building Futures job skills training programme.

Director

Overseeing the operations at TUMU Timbers for the past 10 years, chartered accountant Andrew has extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing, supply chain management and commercial contracts.  

Andrew recently became a director of timber processing businesses, Kiwi Lumber sawmills and PermaPine, specialists in round wood manufacturing and supply to the agriculture, horticulture, and building industries.
